This is wrapping up the minieries of waiting long on God and diving into Sarah and Abraham waiting on their promise from God. So after they had received the promise of Sarah being pregnant within a year's time, fast forward to one year later and scripture says in Genesis 21:1, the Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God said it would.
And when Isaac was born, Sarah declared, "God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me." So the very area where she had laughed out loud out of disbelief, weariness, probably brokenheartedness was a very area that God caused her to laugh with overwhelming joy and fulfillment and wonder. God is going to turn your tears of sorrow into tears of radical joy and promise fulfilled. So if you have been waiting a very long time on a promise God has given you, know that number one, nothing is too hard for the Lord.
He is a God that brings dead bones back to life. He stops the sun in the sky. He parts literal seas from shore to shore, creates and brings life out of a dead womb that's past childbearing age. He literally resurrects the dead.
There is nothing that he can't do. Uh, number two, God is going to keep his word exactly how he promised he would, no matter how long it's been. And number three, God will be faithful. It's who he is, and he will turn your tears of sorrow into tears of joy.
