The word
If you have been WAITING on a promise from God or for a desire of your heart to come to pass, this Word is for YOU!
Habakkuk 2:3 says, ““For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.”
The very next verse ends with, “the righteous shall live by his faith” other translations say “by faithfulness”
The Lord is telling you that HE has your promise in DUE TIME.
And YOUR PART is to live by faith and faithfulness as we wait.
“DUE TIME” means God’s appointed, perfect time for things to happen, emphasizing divine timing, patience and trust in His sovereign plan, not our own rushed schedules.
God’s promises and judgments unfold at the precise, fitting moment HE ordains, even if it requires long waiting.
God’s appointed time in not human time but a divinely established moment for events. A “fitting season” like the Greek word “Kairos” in the bible.
This waiting period is about maintaining patience, perseverance and trust that you will reap in due season.
It’s about trusting in God’s divine order, that to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1.
It’s trusting that God perfectly orchestrates all things and there WILL be a fulfillment of promises.
God’s promises, like Isaac’s birth are fulfilled perfectly, as in “the fullness of time” for Jesus’ coming.
Humbly waiting on God leads to His exalting you and rewarding you at the right moment.
In due, perfect timing Sarah conceived, and Hannah received the son she prayed for.
Another biblical principle on God’s perfect timing is, both weeds and wheat grow together until the “harvest”, when judgment occurs at the appointed time.
God’s prophetic visions and promises have a specific appointed time to be fulfilled. They are certain and will not fail, even if it seems they are delayed or slow to happen.
God’s plans for justice and salvation WILL come to pass, not according to human timelines but according to HIS perfect timing.
God is just and there will be deliverance and salvation, just like there was planned judgment on Babylon in Habakukk’s time.
So have faith, WAIT on God and TRUST HIM.
God has already ordained a set moment and an appointed time.
There is certainty of fulfillment. It will surely come, it will not delay.
God’s promises are reliable and WILL be fulfilled.
Be patient in waiting, remain steadfast and trust God’s timing even when things seem slow and God seems silent.
Record His promises, meditate on it, ponder it in your heart and wait for God’s guidance and timing for it’s realization.
And do not lose heart in the wait friend.
“…Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!” Psalms 27:10-14

If you have been waiting on a promise or promises from God or for desires of your heart to come to pass, this word is for you. God recently had me do a study on what his due time means in scripture and he led me to share. Habacook 2:3 says, "For the vision is yet for the appointed future time. It hurries towards the goal of fulfillment.
It will not fail. Even though it delays, wait patiently for it because it will certainly come. It will not delay. What is interesting is that the very next verse ends with the righteous shall live by faith.
Other translations say by faithfulness. The Lord is telling you that he has your promise in due time. And our part is to live by faith and faithfulness as we wait. Due time means God's appointed perfect time for things to happen.
Emphasizing divine timing, patience, and trust in his sovereign plan, not our own rush schedules, often linked to reaping rewards after patient effort, like a harvest. God's promises and judgments unfold at the precise fitting moment that he ordains, even if it requires long waiting, as seen with Sarah's child and the eventual exaltation of the humble. God's appointed time is not human time, but a divinely established moment for events, a fitting season like the Greek word kario in the Bible. This waiting period is about maintaining patience, perseverance, endurance, and trust that you will reap in due season.
It's about trusting in God's divine order that to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. Even when things seem slow and God seems silent and it seems delayed, record his promises. Meditate on them. Ponder it in your heart and wait for God's guidance and timing for its realization. Do not lose heart, friend.
I'm going to close this with exhorting you from Psalm 27:10-14. But you, Yahweh, God, took me in and made me yours. Here's what I've learned through it all. Don't give up.
Don't be impatient. Be entwined with as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting for he will never disappoint you.
