How to Discern the Voice of God Part 3 Read the Description
The word
GOD IS LOVE.
If it ain’t love, by HIS definition, IT AIN’T GOD
If you want to grow in discerning God’s voice or, if you want to grow in God period, please do yourself a favor and read all of the different translations of 1 Corithinians 13.
Memorize it. Word study it. Get it in you. BECOME it. This is WHO GOD IS.
And, He has clearly told us what the entire purpose of prophesy is in 1 Corinthians 14:3. It is to edify, strengthen, encourage, comfort, console and build each other up.
If what “God told you” is not doing these very things that scripture says the purpose of the gift of prophesy is, that word is NOT from the right spirit.
Notice that it doesn’t say that prophesy is to correct or call each other out?
First of all, if you aren’t walking with someone intimately in their everyday life and as their direct spiritual covering/leadership, that is not your job.
Secondly, it’s actually the Holy Spirit’s job.
Third, you can “speak the truth” but if it’s not done in love, IT AIN’T GOD
Remember, satan uses the “truth” too
If your “truth” tears someone down instead of building them up- you’re working for the wrong team.
If your “truth” isn’t trusting or hoping in that person, or persevering for that person- wrong team.
If your “truth” is not bearing all things, believing all things, hoping all things and enduring all things, then again- wrong team.
A good guideline is, if you can’t picture it coming out of Jesus’ mouth to someone, then .
Also, just a lil bonus, if what you hear leads you or someone else in the direction to do something that scripture does not lead us to do, IT AIN’T GOD
Friends, we are NOTHING without love. So, before you speak, make sure what you say is of Godly substance, from the right team, not spiritual abuse, and as one who KNOWS Him.

It's so important that we know the voice of God and know when it's him that's speaking to us because we can be so easily deceived people can be deceived by the own hardness of their heart uh pride and sin hardens a heart to where we can think that something is God that is actually Satan and so um a good Plum line is also what love is it says that God is love in the word and if we don't love then we are not of him and so it's important to know what love is and it says in the word that love is patient love is kind it does not envy it does not boast it is not proud arrogant or rude it is not self-seeking and does not insist on its own way it is not irritable overly sensitive or easily angered it's not it does not take into account wrong endured it does not rejoice in wrong doing but rejoices in truth love bears all things believes regardless of what comes believes and trusts all things looking for the best in each other and hopes all things remaining steadfast during difficult things and endures all things without weakening that's from the amp but if it's not this then it ain't God and we can't be proclaiming things that aren't love are him and so if you don't have love you're nothing but a clanging symbol it's so important that we love one another because that's what proves that we really are children of God
