How to Discern the Voice of God Part Read the Description
The word
TIP #1: We can all be easily deceived! Satan himself used scripture when tempting Jesus in the wilderness.
The bible says satan is fundamentally a liar. Deception is his playground! He takes some truth and sneakily twists it into a lie while still making it appear to be true
So, if you hear something and it is scripture, or a scripture is highlighted to you, DON’T immediately assume it is God. Satan uses scripture too.
TIP #2: YOUR OWN HEART can deceive YOU!
Scripture says that sin, unbelief, unforgiveness, bitterness and offense can all harden your heart. A hardened heart can definitely make discerning God’s voice accurately near impossible.
TIP #3: You can ACTUALLY hear God but INTERPRET it wrong.
We all have false beliefs systems or woundings that are like lenses that we filter things through. They can make you THINK something is truth or God when it is NOT.
TIP #4: We are called to TEST THE SPIRITS to see whether they are actually from God.
James 3:17-18 is another good tool to helping you discern and test the spirits to know if you are actually hearing God’s voice.
TIP #5: It’s always a good idea to prophesy in HUMILITY, knowing and owning that you could be off, as the bible says we all know and prophesy in part.
We are fallible humans, discerning and interpreting an infinite God. We are occasionally going to get it wrong.

So here's a crazy thing this person that alleged that they heard from God they actually use scripture just like Satan did in the wilderness when he tempted Jesus Satan also can use scripture and turn it and use it for condemnation or blame or his own agenda um or hate and so it's really important that we take the written word of God and the Holy Spirit and listen to both in Union um and so one of the ways that we can tell whether something is God or is not God is is it wisdom is it Godly wisdom and there's a scripture that I want to share with you guys it's James 3:17-18 and it tells us what wisdom actually is so it says but the wisdom from above is first pure then Peaceable gentle willing to yield full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy now the fruit of righteousness is sown in Peace by those who make peace so this is a plum line for us if what we are sharing or what we think we are hearing from the Lord is not wisdom it's not Peaceable or gentle or willing to yield or if it's hypocrisy then we know that um it's not God if it's not those things so this is a really important thing to keep in mind when we're hearing from the Lord or sharing
