The Lord spoke to me super powerfully through a post recently and I knew I had to share. They were talking about how the Israelites when they were all packing to cross over the Red Sea, um they didn't know how long that voyage was going to take or what was going to happen or how God was going to deliver them. But the women instead of just packing necessities, they packed tambourines, which shows you that they had an expectancy of what God was going to do. They weren't just hopeful like, "Oh, I hope that God comes through for us." Or, "Oh, I wish that God would do what he said he was going to do." They were radically expectant, and they were prepared for celebration.
And so I do believe that this is the place that the Lord is wanting us to live in is joyful expectancy. Um actually the word for hope in Hebrew is kind of interchangeable with the word expectation. And so the place of faith where we say, "God, not only do I believe what you say that you're going to do, but I'm going to be prepared to celebrate it." And as I was thinking about this, the Lord told me to read again the story of when Elijah was running away from Jezebel because she was bullying him and threatening his life. And so he at one point cried out to the Lord and said,"I basically, I can't do this.
This is enough. I want to die now." And he went to sleep and he woke up and the angel of the Lord came to him and he gave him food. He gave him meat to eat. And this happened twice.
And it says that uh Elijah ate enough of that meat that it has sustained him for 40 more days of voyaging. And the Lord spoke to me and he said,"Nicole, this is what I want you to do with my word. You need to eat. You need to ingest because that is what will strengthen you for the journey." And uh he basically gave me a formula of what he wants us to do and that's feast, celebrate, repeat.
Feast, celebrate, repeat. Fully receive his promises and chew it and eat it again and again. have the attitude that Mary did where she so believed and trusts the Lord that even though he told her something completely impossible, she said, "Be it unto me as you have said and received it." So again, eat and eat and eat the word and then celebrate as if it's already happened and repeat.
