If you are a parent that is in a difficult or very challenging situation with your child or your children and you are having to fully entrust them and their lives to the Lord, then this word is for you from God. The Holy Spirit reassured us in the last message that we have nothing to fear regarding our children because they will have the Holy Spirit. And when the Lord told me this, I told him, "But my daughter is so young. She's too young to commune with you yet." And he reminded me that one of the literal definitions of his name in Psalm 91 is the nurturer of babies.
And then he reminded me of my own life. I have a crazy testimony. Uh, I was wild and constantly in dangerous extreme situations in my youth and throughout my young adulthood. It is quite literally a miracle that I am still alive today.
And he supernaturally preserved me and my life throughout that entire time. There was even a time in my life where I was not walking with the Lord at all and very much in the world. And I was in a car accident and my intestines were torn apart. I was literally internally bleeding to death.
And I saw actual angels in my hospital room with my eyes. And I was supernaturally healed from um all of that. I miraculously recovered. And God asked me as he was reminding me of all this, "Did I wait until you were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit until I sovereignly protected and covered you?" The answer was obviously no.
Even when I was in fullblown sin and rebellion and darkness and disobedience, he kept me. Uh so parents, this is your reminder. Even if your child is too young or too little to commune with the Holy Spirit yet, and even if they are in rebellion, the Holy Spirit is still who he is. And he can still be fully entrusted completely with your children.
Remember, it's a biblical promise that you and your household, which translates to your family, your family members will be saved. And the fact that the Lord chose you to be your child's parent, that is evidence that you you who are interceding for them and filled with the Holy Spirit, it's proof that your child is chosen and set apart for the kingdom of God.
